Meet Ebony!
My beauty journey started humbly at 13 years old, in my mother’s bathroom desperately trying to modernize a bowl cut with super bumped ends… While the scene was quite dramatic, it birthed a new outlet for creative freedom. Soon, I began experimenting with color and extensions, as well as taking in new “clients” aka my family. By the time I graduated high school in 2009, I had cut all of my relaxed hair and began my natural hair journey. And let me tell you, it was a rough ride, especially with all of the looks and less-than-stellar commentary from friends, family, and strangers. Still, I persevered and decided to turn a negative situation into a positive + more uplifting outcome by enrolling in Aveda Institute of New Orleans for Cosmetology. I earned my license in 2010 and began exclusively serving the natural hair and curly hair community. Since then, I’ve participated in local hair shows, styled for Vogue 2021 September issue, featured in Allure 2022 May issue, and curated natural looks for celebrity clientele in addition to continuing my education in natural + healthy hair care.
Booking FAQs
Q: Do I have to pay for my service in advance?
A: A card is required to book with Suite Curls by Ebony but NO payments will be collected at the time of booking unless indicated.
Q: What form of payment do you accept?
A: Credit/Debit card + Cash only. Contactless payments are preferred. A payment link will be provided at the end of your service.
Q: Where are you located?
A: Suite Curls by Ebony is located at Salon Vous in Uptown NOLA. The address will be included in your appointment details.
Q: I submitted a consultation form. Do I still need to come in for an in-person consultation?
A: Some styling requests do not require a physical consultation. If required, you will be contacted directly by Ebony. If this is your first time receiving a COLOR service from Suite Curls by Ebony, an in-person consultation is required.
Q: I see the starting price of your services, but how much can I expect to pay?
A: The final price will depend on your hair's current health condition, density, length + additional time required to complete your service. Pricing will be discussed during the consultation and/or you can request an estimate, sent via email.
